It’s not actually a surprise, just a statement. I’ve still got a “The Shack” nearby, but I don’t like dining on carrion, and u thought it’d be good to find a new watering hole. It got new thinking of what it would take to make a new,  economically viable, local replacement for the goods they do sell. Sadly, I’m not seeing it.
I did remember to get AAA batteries though, so I now know my giant spool of stitcher wire is conductive. I also fishy found my two inches of solder. I’m not sure where I found it. But… it’s found.
Didn’t get to wiring my light today, but maybe tomorrow. I have bottles glued, solder, wire. Die time and energy are all that are missing.

This is weird, I’m actually planning before acting. For some reason I’m not a big fan of having a Lipo battery ignite while strapped to my head. Thinking an RN-52 for the brains. This week allow me to stream audio, have strip output and up to two 16 ohm speakers. Now I need to look at power supply options.

I’ve been thinking of what to make my headphones from. Not just the innards, but the structure. I mean, if I wanted a crap looking pair of earmuffs with speakers, I could just go hogging at Best Buy.
I want something chill looking; I want my logo backlit; I want a statement of belief and fashion.
I want beer bottles.
I want beer bottles.
Now, admittedly I have a lot of them, and when all you have is empty beer bottles, every problem looks like unrecognized alcoholism. But seriously.

Figure I’ll put together something passable in terms of electronics in the requisite diameter, make sure it sounds decent. Take that, measure the height and get to cutting. Of course, they’ll be heavy as a duck, be a massive breaking hazard, next to my jugular, be a talking point which its I’d because I don’t talk. But they’ll also be the bomb.
Now about the head band…

I need to get my keyboard working. You know, that mechanical one that freaks out. I suppose I should start by chasing a work area, but then to business.
– look at what the keyboard is actually saying to the computer
– look for loose connections on the inside
– proceed from there
…our I could just designer the while thing, remove all the key caps, remove the extraneous keys, strap it all onto a new board run by a Teensy. I should start with the above, fix it if I can, then do the latter.

Direct from a company I appreciate though. I’ll get my bluetooth audio unit at the same time. That much closer to my custom headphones. FTW.

Retail wise that is. We had an illing kitteh to take care of, so no stopping at the store on the way home. I’ll probably hit the Shack on the way home, if nothing else, for old times sake. I just can’t see myself wanting to buy from Amazon. It’s not that they have a bad service, but if I call them up, there is no one on the other end ego can answer questions. No one who can give me a recommendation. No one who can point out another product I might be interested in.
Yes. I understand the systems they have can do that, it’s just that I have very particular tastes that do not fit algorithms well. I like Slayer, Ministry, Iron Maiden and a slew of other bands. I get angry when I get recommendations of Metallica or Pantera. Honestly, …those bands. I like Soundgarden and Nirvana. I don’t like Alice in Chains or Pearl Jam. Played. Out
It’s not that I’m some beautiful unique butterfly, but that I’m not going to wade through a morass of bands I at best dislike, at worst detest (I’m looking at you Pantera), to get a recommendation of a band I could just as likely find going to a music store. But at the store when the rage bullets form behind my eyes, it signals to the clerk, not him. He won’t like the white supremacy of Pantera.

Right. Wheels bookending a spring loaded bent fork. Add the wheels push forward, the tines should disengage, and when pulled back, they dig in. I should do some preliminary measurements. Thinking sliding rails for elongating arms.

Do I go to Ada when I next pick yo the Wif at school? Do I stop at Radio Shack, sad at how far they’ve gone? Do I go to Fred Meyer, disappointed in their definition of consumer electronics and basic organizational skills? Do I try Amazon same day shipping for free?
If the Wif is down, probably Ada, because while I’ll probably pretty an unnecessary premium, compared to Amazon, I’ll be able to get a coffee and support local.

Oh, and a couple AAA batteries. Because my multimeter can’t be any more poorly designed. Of course, the batteries only died vague the auto off didn’t, I assume.
