I make it a point to never start a conversation that has no tangible benefit. If asked how my day is going, I try to put in a cheery ‘good enough’. If asked my opinion, no matter what it actually is, I will usually try to be agreeable rather than ‘wrong’. I give people the benefit of the doubt rather than the blame they likely deserve.
Some days are hard.
I’m sure it sounds like passive-aggressive bullshit, but it’s not.
It’s my laziness in action. I could talk and argue and debate, and then find out it was all for not. No one wants to hear about it. I could also just keep my mouth shut knowing that at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter.
I tell myself this.

I’m starting to do my mental inventory to help finalize my couch plans. So…counting one I shady cut a chunk out of and three laminated posts, I’m rocking five or so 4″x4″x36″ posts that are actually all different dimensions. Totally not enough off the top of my head for any couch design that makes sense. But, I also have four heavy casters. With the aid of these masters of magic I’ll hav… what’s that, other type of caster, derp…
Right. I’ve got casters that I don’t need or want. This is code for rolling papier-mache feet? Maybe leave them exposed and useful. I don’t know. The important thing is they add about six inches to whatever I want.
So… figure I chop one post in half. Now I have two low back back posts and two low rise front posts. I put them close to 67° and I now have some classic lines. Using the rest of the scrap I start building seat and back boxes. I think it could hold. I’m starting to like this idea. I did done crude drawings, but figure I’ll measure stuff before I get all super drawy.

I have six teams this baseball season. This plus I’ll add the three or so football teams at the appropriate time. I’m gonna be busy in that regards.
If like to be less busy. I think I need to take another look at finding a way to harvest stats and turn that into ai directed moves. If I start simple and go from there it seems like a much more viable plan. Probably start with each player being a state machine. As the stats come in per day, update the stats. Is it ai? I mean, if I’m doing all the work its not ai. If I could get the computer managing its own team, that’d be one thing, but I’m talking about scripting it choose my moves for me.
Either way, I need to get on it. I really don’t want to have to keep track of that many players by hand.

I’ve been gluing palette strap together for the last few days. The goal is done useful lumber dimensions, something like a 4×4. It’s shoe going because I’m not using clamps or hardly any room, but it is going. Soon enough it’ll be fine to think about cutting the scrap down to finished couch leg length and getting the box at least built. I’m still not sure what the final structure will be, but I figured I’d just play it by feel. Totally blowing off the idea of a workshop in the couch, but storage is still a possibility.

Basic needs: don’t put to much wear on the string; energy efficient; able to hold onto the string, duh; good for completely vertical to horizontal, more of a strong traverser than straight climber.
My current thoughts involve one motor continuously spinning. The spinning turns two wheels at opposite iterations. Each wheel had a half on half of cycle where they have two wheels on the edge flipping position. I’ll need to draw this out.
This is why I need to start modeling stuff in Blender. First I need to learn how to use Blender.
