Been thinking that the JDF format sounds a while lot like JSON. Based on the Java examples I was looking at, I think I’m right.

I think Europa Univeralis is helping me be a better person. I’m trying not to over extend myself. I’m trying not to aggressively expand. I’m trying to make any new skill set, or province, whichever, into a core.
Today though… Today’s just not playing nice. Today is like my usual playthrough as England. I’m in all the wars.

I don’t talk about my job except in the most oblique terms. This won’t be acute either.
I spend a few hours a week in meetings. They are at least half the time rehashing a meeting from the week before. Today, while showering in preparation for another day of work, I got thinking about this. We don’t have minutes. This would never occur to me, except it means we have no documentation for the following up on decisions. Really, it’s not a meeting, it’s people talking on a room. I’m tempted to start taking my own minutes for comedy value if nothing else. I just fear what of they me to keep doing it.

It’s a small cable in a 4x8x10 or so box. That’s not inefficient to ship or anything. Whatever. Of course, the Wif is watching Girls, so I’m totes not alerting on projects… note I’m cooking dinner.

Well I cleaned more. There’s now duke floor space in the Den of Inequity. Gotta keep pushing on that. Everyday. Gotta do this everyday.

First, before I forget, I need to learn how to fold origami unicorns.
I went to grab the garbage and recycle cans and whatever, but there were two dudes with way too much hair product talking. I skipped that. the cord shipped today so I can’t do that stuff until tomorrow. So I get home on time, helped the Wif make some dinner, err filled out her FAFSA, now we’re watching Girls.
I probably can get an hour of productivity crammed in before bed, but I want to declare today a wash. I think that’s the wrong choice.

I did dishes. I did laundry. I took out recycling.

Its a start. Tomorrow I’ll have my microHDMI cable (yes, mini and micro are totes different form factors), and I’ll be able to start digging into the Beaglebone in earnest when the Wif is studying. Otherwise my main goal is daily basis move stuff out of the den. I appreciate its fun having tons of rando free supplies, but I think I need to start drawing the line on only keeping useful supplies.

So.

Wash and box bottles.

 

Recycle stuff I’m not using. Lets move it out.

Barring distractions, it’s time to make another debt in laundry, and while that’s doing it’s thing… take out recycling. Lots of recycling. Basically, I need to clean the Den of Inequity enough that I can remove everything that doesn’t belong in there. I’m looking at you sporting goods and millions of jackets. Also, I need to start reclaiming my bookcase for books.
Baby steps. Laundry and recycling.

I just ordered a cable on Amazon. Not a rare or special cable. Just a not getting trashed over the coals by brick-and-mortar stores that might not have it, will charge too much for it, have to talk to people for it.
On other notes, that means on Tuesday night, I’ll be doing step one of my earlier discussed Beaglebone based laptop. Step one is a little behind, but stuff.
